Termites Treatment

Termites are one of the most destructive pests, causing extensive structural damage if left untreated. At Malaysian Pest Control, we offer comprehensive prevention, detection, and corrective strategies to safeguard your property from termite infestations.
Prevention Strategies
Preventing a termite infestation is the best long-term solution to protect buildings and structures. Our prevention strategies include:

1. Pre-Construction Soil Treatment
- Before construction begins, the soil is treated with termiticide to create a protective barrier against subterranean termites.
- The termiticide is applied to the soil under and around the foundation to prevent termites from gaining access to the building.
- This method is a critical step in Integrated Termite Management (ITM) and is highly effective in preventing future infestations.
2. Residual Spray Treatment
- A long-lasting chemical treatment is applied to wooden structures, soil, and potential entry points to deter termites.
- This method is commonly used for post-construction preventive maintenance in homes, offices, and commercial buildings.
3. Physical Barriers (Above-Ground Cabinet Installation & Termite-Resistant Materials)
- Using metal stands or concrete bases for wooden cabinets, furniture, and storage units prevents direct termite access.
- Termite-resistant construction materials, such as treated wood and composite materials, reduce termite susceptibility.
- Installing stainless steel mesh barriers or crushed rock layers around foundations can also block termite entry.
Detection Strategies
Early detection is crucial to minimizing damage and applying timely treatment. We recommend:
1. Regular Termite Inspections
- Professional termite inspections should be conducted at least once a year, especially in high-risk areas.
- Signs of termite activity include mud tubes, hollow wood, discarded wings, and frass (termite droppings).
- Advanced detection tools such as thermal imaging and moisture meters can identify hidden termite colonies.

Corrective Strategies
When an infestation occurs, targeted treatments are necessary to eliminate termites and prevent further damage.
1. Non-Repellent Termiticide Treatment
- Unlike traditional repellent chemicals, non-repellent termiticides allow termites to pass through the treated zone without detecting it.
- The termites carry the chemical back to their colony, leading to colony-wide eradication.
- Applied through soil injection or trenching, this method is highly effective for subterranean termite infestations.
2. Drilling & Injection Treatment
- For existing infestations in concrete structures, floors, and walls, we use drilling and termiticide injection methods.
- Small holes are drilled at strategic points, and termiticide is injected deep into the soil or infested areas.
- This treatment creates a chemical barrier that prevents further termite movement and infestation.
3. Termite Baiting System
- A slow-acting insect growth regulator (IGR) is used in bait stations to disrupt termite molting and reproduction. Our effective and highly palatable baits are imported from Australia.
- Worker termites carry the bait back to the colony, gradually eliminating the entire population.
- This eco-friendly and low-toxicity approach is ideal for locations where chemical treatments are not suitable, such as homes with children and pets.
